Alongside studying for NEET, revision is crucial! Having good revision strategies can mean the difference between a good and great score when the exam rolls around. Here are some helpful tips from nonstop NEET toppers:
Never underestimate your NCERT books; you will find most of the answers in biology. Approximately 80-85% of the questions will have their answers all in the NCERT. Read, highlighting, and revising will only get you so far; read and revise every single word.
Read a topic in detail and never forget to take it away - revise it only on the same day or the next. Lastly, after a few days, see if you can recall everything you just learnt without even looking at the book! This is a type of practical active recall, and your retention will be wise.
Short notes, memorisation terms, and flashcards should be your best friends! Using your short notes is the best way to condense larger amounts of information for last-minute revisions. Getting it out of your notebooks is also really handy to have in your pockets to look at every single day.
Solving and reviewing NEET PYQS gives you insight into trends in questions from previous year papers, and it helps you be more confident. Best of all, you can spend more time on the concepts that tend to come up in the NEET.
Study 25 minutes with focused intensity, followed by 5 minutes of rest. This technique helps you have intense study periods while also ensuring you do not burn out during long periods of revising.
NEET mock tests should reflect that you sat a full exam and did it in the time you would during the actual exam (180 minutes). Once you have completed a NEET mock test, go through your mistakes and revise the concepts that you struggled with. It is important to understand that marks are markers of learning.
It's better to space out your revision of each subject over the week instead of trying to learn everything every day. For example, on a Monday, revise Biology Chapters 1-3; on Tuesday, revise Physics Mechanics. If you plan to revise one subject a day and rotate all the subjects each week, you'll get repetition and all topics fresh in your mind.
Burnout is an enemy of productivity. Take a break, sleep, eat well, and keep active. A healthy body allows a sharp mind.
📌 Remember, NEET is not about knowing everything. It's about revising the right things in the right way (multiple times). Start smart revising today and give yourself the advantage you need to rank high.
